Meet our Trustee – Lindsay Groves!


All of us here at 2 Wish are thrilled to welcome the lovely Lindsay Groves to our Board of Trustees!

Lindsay has worked as a Community Paediatrician for the Betsi Cadwaladhr University Health Board since 1993 and in 2012 also took on the role of Named Doctor Safeguarding Children for BCUHB.

With many years in the field of safeguarding children she is also a member of the Regional (North Wales) Safeguarding Children Board, an active member of the Child Practice Review Group and the clinical paediatric lead for the North Wales SARC (Sexual Assault Referral Centre).

Lindsay lead the implementation of the PRUDIC (Procedural Response to the Unexpected Death in Children) in North Wales where she first met Rhian and learnt of our work at 2 Wish Upon A Star.

Lindsay is passionate about the rights of children and ensuring the ‘voice of the child’ is always heard. Through her dedication for children’s rights she is also the Lead Doctor for Looked After Children (LAC) North Wales, the Medical Advisor Adoption for Conwy, represents the Health Board at the North Wales Adoption Service Partnership Board, is on the LAC steering group of the NHS Wales Safeguarding Network and Medical Advisor to the National Adoption Service Advisory Board (Wales).
