  1. Tell us about Speedy Freight?

Speedy Freight are a dedicated, end to end transport provider, offering same day and next day collections and deliveries across the whole UK and Europe for every size van and HGV. Speedy Freight South Wales is solely set up to service Businesses and individuals of South Wales and is one of over 45 separate locations offering national coverage throughout the UK.  As of the 20th of March , Branch manager Rhys Hughes, has invested in becoming the Franchise owner for the South Wales territory which means while there is national strength and support, the South Wales business is owned and run locally with some welsh flair.  Supporting businesses in the SA, CF, NP and LD postcodes.

 2. Why are you supporting 2wish?

Being a father of two myself and from the local area I am very familiar with Rhian’s story and can remember hearing the news when it first broke. I think when such heartbreak happens so close to home there is an element that hits you harder than normal and I guess makes it all relevant. Knowing that such bereavement support was available to NHS trusts throughout the UK but not in Wales is incomprehensible.

3. How was 2wish chosen as your charity of the year?

Speedy Freight South Wales is the regional office for the wider UK network of Speedy Freight, Our business is solely to support the logistical needs of South Wales Business’s and individuals, and the fact that 2wish is a Wales only charity I believe its only right we do what us welsh do best and support our own.

4. How are you planning to support 2wish?

To celebrate the launch of the local franchise we will initially make a £500 donation. Going forward the South Wales Team will look to attend 2wish hosted events as well as potentially in the future co-host our own corporate events under the banner of 2wish inviting our corporate customers from around South Wales to attend these social events, Raising funds is obviously paramount but in order to do this I believe that raising awareness has its own level of importance. We plan on being a very active and visible partner to 2wish and with our growing fleet of vehicles I’m sure there will be a lot more visibility through on the roads of South and west Wales….

5. Why should other people support 2wish

In order for 2wish to support families through the most heart-breaking of bereavements it is paramount that we support 2wish in the first place, it’s as simple as that. 2wish work hard in letting families know that they are not alone in those darkest of days, so It’s only right that we let 2wish know that we are also here to support their mission.
